As I suspected, Paul Lorber chose not to attend the ground breaking of the Civic Centre, despite having claimed credit for the project at the previous Council meeting. He seems unable to decide which way to face.

There is to be £3m library there isn't there? So, you close 6 local libraries, then build a massive one with fanfare a bit like the failed Willesden Green's 20 years ago. Are you worried that if you leave local libraries alone, then no one will visit the new one? Is this all about protecting a pet project? I think it is all beginning to make sense
