District Heating in South Kilburn (Again)

The next Brent Council Cabinet will be discussing a District Heating scheme for South Kilburn.  This was originally mooted many years ago.  It is only now being actually implemented, which shows how long the lead times on these things can be.  The report also explains some of the pitfalls of different kinds of procurement, and the approaches of other Councils around the UK.

Some arrangement of this kind is also part of the Wembley Masterplan

Hi James,
I can't find anything more about this project since a year ago -- do you know if it is proceeding? I have a dual interest -- Fuel Poverty Action has been involved in a number of disastrous DH schemes and would hope to ensure this one doesn't end up the same way. I'm also involved in advising the Citizens Assembly in Brent town hall next Saturday (23 Nov) and would be glad for up to date local info. Also, I also used to live in that area and have friends and family there. It would be great to hear from you!
