Wrottesley Road Traffic Lights (Again)

I have now had some feedback on the new traffic lights at the Wrottesley Road / Harrow Road junction. Readers may recall that I organised a petition for these lights.

Most of the people I have spoken to, both car drivers and pedestrians, have welcomed the new lights, although there has been some concern about slowing up the traffic. Unfortunately, slowing the traffic is part of the price to be paid for making it safer for pedestrians, such as the kids going to Kenmont Primary School.

Traffic lights in this spot is a great idea and so what if traffic is slowed down - cars / lorries / tipper-trucks (worst of all offenders!!) all break the speed limit in and around Kensal Green Ward roads.

The lights are good at what used to be a very dangerous junction that I avoided.

On another point, tipper trucks/lorries etc are banned from All Souls Ave but they come thundering up here all the time. What can be done about it?

The lights are good but they have increased traffic to college road. Cars now thunder down this residential street we have approached the council who told us that speed calming measures would only be put in if someone was injured. I hope these words do not come back to haunt them. Do you have any thoughts on this please?
