Kilburn Library Refurbishment

Kilburn Library will be refurbished as part of our Libraries Transformation Project.  I think it is fairly to say that Kilburn has been unfairly neglected, so it it is good that it is finally getting some attention.  During the refurbishment period, the officers will be organising various kinds of outreach in the local area.  Of course, Kilburn has already benefited from having its opening hours extended from five days a week to seven.

So, we'll be down to four libraries, then.

Outreach is useless: the elderly, for example, want social contact with groups not a man with a van throwing a book at them.

Oh well, you'll be gone in two years. We who live in your ward will remember what you foisted on us.

Goodness, where did that £650,000 come from? I thought the closure of libraries had to do with saving money, but it looks as if you had money and plenty of it. Is Kilburn being rebuilt? What about the 'frontline' services that are suffering? Can't really be suffering after all. Your dishonesty is breathtaking.
You people at Brent Council are full of surprises aren't you? Nasty, vindictive ones.

Why have you given Kensal Rise Library back to All Souls ?As much as I try, I can't find one reason. You could have allowed a community run project at no risk or cost to Brent. All Souls never wanted this building back, and they were happy with the community run Business plan. WHY HAVE YOU DONE IT?
The 650K that you are spending in Kilburn could have saved enough money to run at least two of the murdered libraries for a few years. That is short sighted and selfish. I hope you can sleep well.
