Recycling Televisions
The digital switchover is likely to lead to a bulge in the numbers of televisions collected, either by Brent's bulky item service or down at the Abbey Road site. This is in fact a nationwide problem, as you can read here.
There's a distinct possibility of this. However, from the perspective of a B2B ATF (WEEE) point of view, I'm a little more dubious of the claims. The reason for this is that digital set top boxes allow for the use of existing TV sets and the second is that having been recycling WEEE for near on a decade, we saw a marked (90%) drop in CRT screens arriving at our treatment facility 2 years ago.
