Brent Law Centre is now closed, as reported in the Kilburn Times. It opened in 1971 and had Labour MPs Jack Dromey and Harriet Harman as early workers. During their time there they took part in the famous Grunwick dispute. It was "saved" in the
2011 budget debate, but further cuts to legal aid have led the trustees to close it it so that it can be done in an orderly fashion.
